Here is the check list of Daily and periodic inspection for Mitsubushi Make D700 series VFD

Daily and periodic Maintainence

We should all take care of the products we use. this will surely minimize the breakdown and increase life of VFD. If you take care of your product you will surely get better result from VFD. We have listed below the what you should take care of VFD as given in Mitsubishi Instruction manual of D700 series

Below table Display how to check General Condition of VFD, followed by main circuit and Peripheral accessories. All corrective actions to be taken if found abnormal condition. Please go through it.

o Inspect the power supply
Main circuit. General (1) Check with megger (across main circuit terminals and earth (ground) terminal). o Contact the manufacturer
(2) Check for loose screws and bolts. o Retighten
(3) Check for overheat traces on the parts. o Contact the manufacturer
(4) Check for stain o Clean
Conductors, cables (1) Check conductors for distortion. o Contact the manufacturer
(2) Check cable sheaths for breakage and deterioration (crack, discoloration, etc.) o Contact the manufacturer
Terminal block Check for damage. o Stop the device and
contact the manufacturer.
Smoothing aluminum
electrolytic capacitor
(1) Check for liquid leakage. o Contact the manufacturer
(2) Check for safety valve projection and bulge. o
(3) Visual check and judge by the life check of the main circuit capacitor o
Relay Check that the operation is normal and no chatter is heard. o Contact the manufacturer
Control
circuit,
Protective
circuit
Operation check (1) Check that the output voltages across phases with the inverter operated alone is balanced o Contact the manufacturer
(2) Check that no fault is found in protective and display circuits in a sequence protective operation test. o
Overall (1) Check for unusual odor and
discoloration.
o Stop the device and
contact the manufacturer.
(2) Check for serious rust development o Contact the manufacturer
Aluminum
electrolytic
capacitor
Check for liquid leakage in a capacitor
and deformation trance
o Contact the manufacturer
(2) Visual check and judge by the life check of the main circuit capacitor o
Cooling
system
Cooling fan (1) Check for unusual vibration and noise. o Replace the fan
(2) Check for loose screws and bolts o Retighten
(3) Check for stain o Clean
Heatsink (1) Check for clogging o Clean
(2) Check for stain o Clean
Display Indication (1) Check that display is normal. o Contact the manufacturer
(2) Check for stain o Clean
Meter Check that reading is normal o Stop the device and
contact the manufacturer.
Load motor Operation check Check for vibration and abnormal increase in operation noise o Stop the device and
contact the manufacturer.
∗1 It is recommended to install a device to monitor voltage for checking the power supply voltage to the inverter.
∗2 One to two years of periodic inspection cycle is recommended. However, it differs according to the installation environment.
